I became a therapist to help people who care deeply about the world and are striving to make positive change amongst seemingly endless setbacks.

With a focus on understanding the interconnectedness of our inner experiences, close relationships, and broader societal issues, I offer perspectives rooted in creativity, curiosity, and compassion.

Both clients and colleagues tell me I create a safe, non-judgmental space for all feelings to be seen and understood. I bring warmth to places that feel edgy and directness in times when you might need a helpful nudge.

Together, we can work towards liberation on individual, relational, and global levels. Let's embark on this journey together and create space for joy, connection, and healing.

  • What are some identities that I hold?

Millenial/Gen Z cusp, queer, cis-gendered woman, Ashkenazi Jew, white, able-bodied, married and polyamorous, vegan, dog parent

    Why do identities matter?

    The short answer:

My identities might impact whether you feel comfortable working with me or not.

    The long answer:

Identities can provide language to create common understanding of one’s general experiences. Identity can shape the ways we perceive the world and are perceived by others. I find that learning what identities others hold helps me understand, a) What might someone be coming in with, ie, how does the way they experience the world impact how they are showing up in front of me now? b) How do my identities and theirs intersect and what impacts might we have on each other accordingly?

I do not highlight identities to create boxes for people to be stuck in, but rather for us to deepen our understanding and find access to empowerment and strength based on our histories and backgrounds. I list my identities above because when I was searching for my own therapist, I wanted someone who would understand the unique challenges some of my identities held rather than me having to educate them. Transparency and self-awareness are important to me.

I love working with people who…

  • Care deeply about the world, which can lead you to feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or burnt out.

  • Want to understand and befriend your emotions instead of distracting or reacting from them.

  • Might be struggling with interpersonal relationships and want to learn skills for effective communication.

  • Might identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and want support in navigating societal challenges while still being authentically yourself.

  • Might be practicing or curious about non-traditional relationships like polyamory or CNM and want a therapist who won’t judge or shame your experience.

  • Might be vegan and want a therapist who understands the nuances this lens brings to every day life.

  • Want to create positive change in your life and the lives of others.

About the Therapy Process

Starting therapy can sometimes feel like turning on a bright light in a dark room. It can be uncomfortable and disorienting at first, but it is necessary for being able to see clearly the spaces we are existing from and thus create change.

My approach to therapy is trying to make that “bright light” experience as consent-based as possible. This looks like moving slowly and with understanding about the directions we are headed.

The main interventions I use are somatic (body-based), relational (connection-based), and parts-work (emotions-based). By bringing the content you want to work on into the present moment, we can create more awareness of your internal processes that otherwise might have gone unnoticed.

I light up when I see people stepping into their personal power and forging new paths for themselves that had perviously been unknown.
